Our shops are one of our main interfaces with the general public, as well as high profile sources of funding. The Age Concern Oldham Shops sell donated goods such as clothing, furniture, bric-a-brac, and books. Many donated goods are of a high quality (e.g. designer label clothing), and all our electrical goods are checked and certified for safety. Volunteer shop assistants are involved in all aspects of shop work including sorting and pricing of donated goods, preparing items for sale, assisting in window dressing and helping to keep the shop clean and tidy. |
