Voluntary, Community & Faith Partnership (VCFP)
The Voluntary, Community and Faith Partnership is a democratically elected body of representatives from voluntary and community groups. Members are elected from the membership of Voluntary Action Oldham. There are 33 places on the Partnership, 9 for low and unfunded groups (less than £20,000), 9 for larger organisations more than £20,000), 5 for Executive Board members of Voluntary Action Oldham, 6 for Interfaith Forum representatives and 4 places for under-represented groups.
The Partnership has the responsibility for driving forward Oldham's Community Strategy. The Community Strategy sets out a vision, strategic objectives and targets for the long-term future of the Borough. As a recognised Partner there is a chapter that is owned by the Voluntary and Community Sector and there is the responsibility to deliver.
Members on the Partnership are responsible for representing the views of the Sector, not their organisation's views. Members represent the Sector on a range of Forums and Partnerships i.e.
