HR Bank

The HR Bank is a collection of human resources policies, contracts and documents used by and donated by different voluntary organisations.

However, the HR Bank contains 'real-life' documents, in use in organisations. Because these documents have kindly been donated by other organisations and by Voluntary Action Oldham, we cannot put them on the website. Here is a list of the topics they cover, with the number of documents:

Requests for HR Bank documents

If you would like torequest any of the documentsfrom the HR Bank, please contact Voluntary Action Oldham at pa@vaoldham.org.uk or send a letter to:

The letter must contain the following signed disclaimer:

"I understand that if I want a policy that reflects the latest legislation and is appropriate to my organisation, I will seek specialist legal advice. I understand that if my organisation decides to rely on a document obtained from Voluntary Action Oldham’s HR Bank, it does so at its own risk."

It should also contain the following information:

  • The type of document you would like to see (for example, contract of employment)
  • Your name
  • Your job title
  • Contact details for you and your organisation

Donations to the HR Bank

If you would like to donate an example policy, contract or job description to the HR Bank, please send your documents with the following information:

  • Details of the document(s) you are donating, e.g.receptionist job description / recruitment policy
  • Where possible, please indicate when a document was produced/revised
  • Your name and contact details
  • Full contact details for your organisation
  • Please remember to tell us whether you would like the name of your organisation removed from the donated documents before it is made available through the HR Bank.
